    La educación social tiene en su esencia, en su imaginario constituyente, una dimensión política y un sentido de la justicia social. Pero, por otra parte, tiene ciertas reticencias en considerar la acción social como parte de la acción política, llevándola en ocasiones a un terreno más individual de la acción socio-educativa. Sin pretender ser exhaustiva, la reflexión que me acompaña hoy tiene que ver con el inicio de la profesión de la educación social, la formación inicial. y, de manera genérica, intentando identificar grandes rasgos que ayuden a situar la cuestión de la justicia social y la acción-sociopolítica

    Social education has at its core, in its constituent imaginary, a political dimension and a sense of social justice. But, on the other hand, it has certain reticence in considering social action as part of political action, sometimes taking it to a more individual terrain of socioeducational action. Social education is undergoing major changes due to global phenomena that impact harshly on the local context (crises, wars, migratory movements), increasing the level of complexity of any possible analysis. Reviewing the meaning of social justice within the professional genesis would be of great relevance, but from an inaugural point of view I would like to underline which aspects of the initial training of social educators should be highlighted in order to enhance and promote social justice (social justice consciousness), social and political action, assuming that university training should take up this challenge.
