    En este trabajo se realiza un primer acercamiento de conjunto sobre el periodo tardoantiguo en el territorio onubense a partir de la vajilla de mesa africana y oriental localizada hasta el momento. Esta primera síntesis se ha elaborado sobre la base de un corpus documental en el que se han recopilado referencias bibliográficas, conocidas hasta el momento, a la Sigillata Focense (Late Roman C) y a la Terra Sigillata Africana, esta última, no obstante, en todas sus variantes no sólo tardías y bajo imperiales sino también altoimperiales, añadiendo también las referencias a las cerámicas de cocina conocidas como "Comunes Africanas". Como primeras valoraciones de esta investigación, que ha de ser continuada en profundidad en un futuro inmediato, destacamos el mantenimiento de estructuras comerciales de cierta solidez tanto con el mundo africano como oriental, y tanto de modo directo, a través de la costa (para el caso africano), como mediante una ruta posiblemente terrestre (para el caso oriental) cuyo epicentro podría haber sido la ciudad de Hispalis.

    In this work, a first whole approximation on the Late Roman Period of the Huelva territory is realized, from the African Red Slip Ware and Oriental Ware (Late Roman C) known up to the moment. This first synthesis has been elaborated on the base of a documentary corpus, which includes both types of pottery mentioned, adding also the references to African Cooking Wares. As the first and partial conclusions of this research, which has to be continued in an immediate future, we emphasize the maintenance of commercial structures of certain solidity so much with the African as Oriental world, and so much of a direct way, across the coast (for the African case), as by means of a possibly terrestrial way (for the oriental case), which epicentre would be the city of Hispalis (Seville).
