Resumen de La agrupación basada en el rendimiento y el aprendizaje del alumnado universitario

Existen múltiples criterios para agrupar a los estudiantes y conseguir que trabajen en equipo para lograr un aprendizaje cooperativo. El problema es cómo crear los diferentes grupos de alumnos/as para alcanzar los mejores resultados. Aunque sobre este tema se ha reflexionado en el contexto de la enseñanza obligatoria se ha analizado poco en el ámbito de la enseñanza superior. En este trabajo se estudia si distribuir a los estudiantes universitarios según su rendimiento académico repercute sobre los resultados del procesode enseñanza-aprendizaje. Para ello se realiza un análisis de la varianza para determinar si existen diferencias significativas en el resultado del aprendizaje alcanzado por 48 alumnos/as agrupados tanto en grupos homogéneos como en grupos heterogéneosen función de su rendimiento académico. Los datos obtenidos demuestran que cuando al alumnado se le agrupa de forma heterogénea se alcanzan mejores resultados que cuando se distribuye homogéneamente.

There are multiple criteria for grouping students and getting them to work as a team for cooperative learning. The problem is how to create the different groups of students to achieve the best results. Although this subject has been reflected upon in the context of compulsory education, little has been analyzed in the field of higher education. This paper studies whether distributing university students according to their academic performance has repercussions on the results of the teaching-learning process. For this, an analysis of variance is carried out to determine if there are significant differences in the learning outcome achieved by 48 students grouped in both homogeneous groups and heterogeneous groups based on their academic performance. The data obtained show that when students are grouped heterogeneously, better results are achieved than when they are distributed homogeneously.
