    El objetivo de este trabajo es el de mostrar las actuaciones de la Biblioteca Histórica de la Universitat de València encaminadas a salvaguardar la colección de manuscritos que posee. Se estudian las características y metodología de los instrumentos de descripción elaborados, se analizan los mecanismos de control puestos en marcha, y se aporta información sobre las adversidades e infortunios a los que se han visto expuestos los códices.

    The objective of this work is to show the actions of the Historical Library of the University of Valencia aimed at safeguarding the collection of manuscripts it possesses. The characteristics and methodology of the description instruments elaborated are studied, the control mechanisms set in motion are analyzed, and information is provided on the adversities and misfortunes to which the codices have been exposed.
