    El préstamo de libros y documentos entre entidades o instituciones es cada vez más frecuente. Al mismo tiempo que una oportunidad para la difusión de los fondos documentales, supone la necesidad de gestión de estos préstamos y el establecimiento de los controles necesarios para que se lleven a cabo con garantías para la conservación de las obras. La figura del correo tiene un papel fundamental en esta tarea. En la Biblioteca Histórica de la Universidad Complutense se realiza esta labor siguiendo un procedimiento que permite ser adaptado a las diferentes necesidades de los préstamos y la tipología documental.

    Esta comunicación tiene como objetivo exponer este procedimiento y compartir algunos recursos que pueden ser útiles para llevar a cabo la labor de correo y favorecer la preservación de los fondos durante el transcurso de su exhibición.

    Lending of books and documents between entities or institutions is becoming more frequent. At the same time as an opportunity for the divulgation of the documentary collections, it implies a need for management and the establishment of controls for the conservation of the works. The figure of the courier plays a fundamental role in this task. In the Historical Library of the Universidad Complutense, this work is carried out following a procedure that allows it to be adapted to the different needs of the lending and the documentary typology. This communication aims to expose this procedure and share some resources that may be useful to carry out the work of a courier and promote the preservation of documents during its exhibition.
