Calidad del servicio de transporte y la decisión del traslado en tiempos de pandemia

    El estado de excepción declarado en Ecuador por efecto de la pandemia mundial provocada por el virus SARS-CoV-2, denominado covid-19, puso a los habitantes en una situación de alerta para evitar los contagios, causando un cambio en la decisión del uso de transporte público por el transporte privado. El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar la relación que existe entre la calidad del servicio de transporte de taxis y la decisión del traslado frente a la emergencia sanitaria en la ciudad de Guayaquil.  La investigación fue aplicada, cuantitativa, no experimental, correlacional. La muestra fue tomada a 385 habitantes de la ciudad de Guayaquil. Se aplicó un cuestionario con 33 interrogantes en escala de Likert y el análisis estadístico se realizó con el software SPSS.21. La fiabilidad del instrumento se respalda por el valor obtenido de 0.955 coeficiente alfa de Cronbach. El coeficiente de Spearman obteniendo (p = 0.315) muestra una correlación positiva débil entre las variables de estudio.  Si bien la relación de los factores no es contundente, los resultados o percepciones obtenidos individualmente, incita en reforzar la edificación de una cultura de servicio propicia en los usuarios ante la decisión de trasladarse en taxi en épocas de pandemia, considerando el alto porcentaje de inseguridad existente en la ciudad de Guayaquil, Asimismo, el estudio determina que no existe la seguridad en el servicio recibido por parte de los taxistas informales, generando robos, secuestros express, y creando incredibilidad y desconfianza al pasajero.

    The state of emergency declared in Ecuador due to the global pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, called covid-19, put the people in an alert situation to avoid contagion, causing a change in the decision to use of public transportation provided by private transportation service. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the quality of the taxi transportation service and the decision to travel in the face of the health emergency in the city of Guayaquil. The research was applied, quantitative, non-experimental, correlational. The sample was taken from 385 people of the city of Guayaquil. A questionnaire with 33 questions on a Likert scale was applied and the statistical analysis was performed with the SPSS.21 software. The reliability of the instrument is supported by the value obtained of 0.955 Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Spearman's coefficient obtaining (p = 0.315) shows a weak positive correlation between the study variables. Although the relationship of the factors is not conclusive, the results or perceptions obtained individually encourage to reinforce the building of a good customer service culture in the face of the decision to travel by taxi in times of pandemic, considering the high percentage of insecurity existing in the city of Guayaquil, Likewise, the study determines that there is no safety in the service received by informal taxi drivers, generating robberies, express kidnappings, and creating disbelief and distrust of the passenger.
