  El objetivo general de la presente investigación fue describir el análisis literario de los efectos de la construcción y el funcionamiento del proyecto del tranvía de la ciudad de Cuenca. Se utilizó la metodología cuantitativa la cual produce datos descriptivos, que se originan por la recolección de datos. Además, se aplicó el método inductivo-deductivo, el cual sugiere que para encontrar una verdad se deben buscar los hechos y no basarse en meras especulaciones. Se apoyó además desde la perspectiva documental-bibliográfica, esto en vista de que a partir de la revisión documental y el estudio de la realidad social. La información recogida permite extraer conclusiones antes, durante y después de la ejecución del proyecto, así como medir el impacto de la construcción y explotación del proyecto del Tranvía de la Ciudad. Se concluye que, durante el periodo de construcción del tranvía, las variables de empleo y producción sufrieron un impacto significativo.

  The general objective of this research was to describe the literary analysis of the effects of the construction and operation of the tramway project in the city of Cuenca. The quantitative methodology was used, which produces descriptive data, originating from data collection. In addition, the inductive-deductive method was applied, which suggests that in order to find the truth, facts must be sought and not based on mere speculations. It was also supported from the documentary-bibliographic perspective, this in view of the fact that from the documentary review and the study of the social reality. The information gathered allows drawing conclusions before, during and after the execution of the project, as well as measuring the impact of the construction and operation of the City Tram project. It is concluded that, during the tramway construction period, the employment and production variables suffered a significant impact.
