  In this article we aim at analyze the genesis and the initial years of the MDB in Paraná betweenthe years of 1965 and 1969. For this purposes, we first will analyze the process of implantation of bipartisanism and the genesis of the MDB in Paraná, verifying who were the parliamentarians from Paraná who joined the party. In a second moment, the focusof analysis will be the MDB and the 1966 parliamentary elections in Paraná, the results of which were decisive for the process of renewal of the state's Executive Committee of the party in 1967. Later, it will be verified the relationship of the MDB of Paraná with the Frente Ampla (1966-1967) and the process of cassation of MPB parliamentarians by Institutional Act No. 5 (AI-5). Finally, we intend to address the reorganization of the MDB of Paraná after the AI-5

  No presente artigo pretende-se analisar a gênese e os anos iniciais do MDB no Paraná entre os anos de 1965 a 1969. Para tais propósitos, primeiramente pretende-se analisar o processo de implantação do bipartidarismo e a gênese do MDB no Paraná, verificando quem foram os parlamentares paranaenses que ingressaram no partido. Em um segundo momento, o foco de análise será o MDB e as eleições parlamentares de 1966 no Paraná, cujos resultados foram determinantes para o processo de renovação da Comissão Executiva estadual do partido em 1967. Posteriormente, será verificada a relação do MDB paranaense com a Frente Ampla (1966-1967) e o processo de cassações de parlamentares do MDB paranaense pelo Ato Institucional nº 5 (AI-5). Por fim, pretende-se abordar a reorganização do MDB do Paraná após o AI-5.
