    El presente texto profundiza en el significado del concepto “paz” en el contexto de la Guerra Fría y su uso como arma política. Para ello se utiliza como objeto de estudio el Consejo Mundial de la Paz y la participación en él del alto dirigente del Partido Comunista de España Enrique Líster Forján. Esta plataforma, creada a instancias de la URSS en los primeros compases de la Guerra Fría, posibilito una intensa actividad en defensa de lo que aquí se denomina como “Pax Soviética”, concepto mediante el cual la URSS se erigía como baluarte de los pueblos libres y de la paz mundial. La narrativa construida en torno a esta idea es aquí analizada con el objetivo de señalar los cambios a los que ese proyecto se vio sometido, así como vislumbrar nuevas líneas de investigación vinculadas al movimiento comunista internacional.

    The aim of this text is to examine the use of the concept “peace” as political weapon in the Cold War. For this purpose, the World Peace Council and the participation of the Spanish Communist Party in it are used as object of study. In that order, it is going to point out the figure of Enrique Líster Forján, senior leader of the Executive Committee. The World Peace Council, created by the USSR in the early stages of the Cold War, made possible a severe activity in support of the “Soviet Pax", a concept by which the USSR was erected as a bulwark of the Free People and world peace. The narrative around this idea is analysed with the objective of pointing the transformations of this project. Furthermore, it is intended to glimpse new researches related to the international communist movement.
