    The present study aims to analyze the violence suffered by LGBT activists who live in Belém, State of Pará. For this purpose, it was realized semi-structured interviews with five people who identified themselves as LGBT activists who live in Belém. In the end, it was concluded that LGBT activism is permeated by a complex and multidimensional violence, which affects the individual at social, interpersonal and intra-individual levels.

    o presente estudo visa analisar as violências sofridas por ativistas LGBT no contexto da cidade de Belém, Estado do Pará. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo mediante entrevistas semiestruturadas com cinco pessoas que se identificaram como ativistas LGBT belenenses. Ao final, concluiu-se que a militância LGBT é permeada pela violência, de caráter complexo e multidimensional, que afeta o indivíduo social, interpessoal e intraindividualmente.
