    El embarazo críptico o negación del embarazo, según investigaciones, presenta alteraciones que generan riesgo de muerte y/o enfermedad materno-infantil. Parte de la sociedad parece que desconoce o niega la existencia de esta enfermedad. Los objetivos de esta investigación son búsqueda, recogida y difusión de la información existente para detectar una posible realidad ante la que se pueda actuar. Como resultados se constata la existencia de esta realidad, unida a indefensión maternal, falta de apoyo y castigo, más que ayuda. Se evidencia poca investigación y difusión del problema y necesidad de detectar y ayudar a estas mujeres y a su descendencia.

    Cryptic pregnancy or denial of pregnancy, according to research, presents alterations that generate risk of death and/or maternal and infant disease. Part of society seems to be unaware or denies the existence of this disease. The objectives of this investigation are the search, collection and dissemination of existing information to detect a possible reality that can be acted upon. The results show the existence of this reality, together with maternal helplessness, lack of support and punishment, rather than help. Little research and dissemination of the problem and the need to detect and help these women and their offspring is evident.
