Resumen de La SEDO a través del tiempo

La SEDO cumple 50 años y en su aniversario este trabajo pretende ser un homenaje a todos sus miembros, especialmente a aquellos que han contribuido a hacer su historia.
Este trabajo se divide en 2 partes: en la primera se hace un recorrido histórico de los 50 años transcurridos, desde su fundación hasta nuestros días, estudiando su evolución, expansión y difusión por la geografía española. Se ilustra con añejas y nostálgicas fotografías que sugieren que "cualquier tiempo pasado fue mejor". Sin embargo, la SEDO tiene un prometedor futuro cargado, sin duda, de mucho trabajo por la ortodoncia española. En la segunda parte se estudia la evolución numérica de la SEDO, comparando las medias del año actual con las de 8 años atrás. Se sacan unas conclusiones de lo que puede ser la SEDO en el futuro, dando unas directrices de evolución y reparto de la distribución geográfica de sus miembros.

Spanish Society of Orthodontics` 50 birthday has taken place and a testimonial to its most relevant members, specially to those who contributed to make its history is dedicated this paper.
This paper is divided into two parts: first part is a historical review of the 50 years of the Society since the early days to these times, considering the evolution, expansion and spreading throuhout the Spanish geography. Illustred with musty and longing photographs suggesting that "any past time was better". However, SEDO has a very promising future full, undoubtly, of many hours of work for the Spanish Orthodontics.
Second part of the paper is a comparison of SEDO growth in numbers since 8 years ago. Conclusions of possible SEDO future are drawn, beside guidelines in the evolution and distribution of the members through the Spanis geography.
