    En el archivo de la familia Valle-Inclán Alsina se han conservado un número elevado de materiales totalmente desconocidos que testimonian el proceso de gestación y evolución de la serie narrativa de El Ruedo Ibérico (manuscritos, galeradas y epistolario). Asimismo la investigación hemerográfica proporciona importantes hallazgos y noticias sobre la creación y transformación de este ambicioso proyecto en el que el escritor trabajó durante doce años de su vida y que finalmente quedó inacabado. Este artículo pretende presentar un renovado acercamiento al proceso creativo y a la historia textual de esta serie partiendo del examen diacrónico integrado de toda esta reciente e inexplorada documentación.

    A large number of materials that until now were completely unknown and that provide evidence about the genesis and evolution of the narrative series titled El Ruedo Ibérico (manuscripts, proofs and correspondence) have been preserved in the archives of Valle-Inclan Alsina family. Newspaper research has also provided important findings and news about the creation and transformation of this ambitious project on which the writer worked for twelve years of his life even though, in the end, it was left unfinished. This paper aims to present a renewed approach to the creative process and the textual history of this series based on the diachronic examination of this recently found yet unexplored documentation.
