    El Romanticismo peruano ha sido tradicionalmente juzgado por la historiografía como mera tentativa o «impostura». Vincular su carácter epidérmico e imitativo con los factores históricos del Perú de la primera mitad del siglo XIX, y en concreto con el proceso emancipador, es el primer objetivo de este artículo. Además, se tratará de proponer una revisión crítica del movimiento, sustentada en la idea del romanticismo como «derrotero». Esta dimensión del Romanticismo peruano puede construirse con el análisis de fragmentos literarios sobre los que no se había reparado. En su visualización conjunta, es posible plantear un relevante matiz para que la tentativa romántica pueda complementarse con la idea de derrotero imprescindible para la independencia cultural y literaria del Perú.

    The Peruvian romanticism has usually been court for the historiography as meer attempt or «imposture». To link its epidermic and imitative character with historic factors of Peru out of the first middle of the nineteenth century, and specifically with the process emancipator, is the first object of this article. In addition, it will be tried to propose a critical review of the movement, sustained in the idea of the romanticism as «path». This dimension of the Peruvian romanticism can build with the analysis of literary fragments on those which had not been repaired. In its joint visualisation, it is possible to pose a relevant nuance so that the romantic attempt can complement with the intention of path essential for the cultural and literary independence of Peru.
