El Quijote es un gran ejemplo de obra que aúna distintos géneros literarios y distintas formas de narración en un mismo libro, intercalando incluso pequeñas narraciones de personajes secundarios que poco tienen que ver con la trama principal. En el presente artículo se toman en cuenta la imaginación literaria y sus regiones, más que la pertinencia de estos textos intercalados, algo propuesto por Martínez Bonati. En la estructura interna, los percances que don Quijote inicia con otros personajes siempre empiezan de la misma manera y se deben a su locura; tras el desarrollo del conflicto y a colación de este, se integra a veces una historieta sobre el personaje secundario que don Quijote ha interceptado y así se combinan las diferentes regiones literarias cervantinas.

Don Quixote is a great example of a work that combines different literary genres and different forms of narration in the same book, interspersing even small narrations of secondary characters that have little to do with the main plot.
