Resumen de (Etno)nazionalismo, regionalismo e identità collettiva: alcune riflessioni sulla Bretagna e la Galizia nel secolo XX
This essay discusses the evolution of Galician collective identity since the beginning of the 20th century, against the comparative backdrop of the similar evolution of Breton collective identity during the same period. Both regions are usually considered under the common label of peripheral ethnies in Western Europe, characterised by their backwardness and late development of a distinctive national movements. Nevertheless, this article sheds light on the commonalities and differences between both movements, as well as on the diverging narratives, cultural agendas, and political alignments, which accompanied the development of ethnonationalism and regionalism in both countries
