El imaginario del sida: la acción como instrumento de cuestionamiento en el espacio público

    El objetivo principal de esta comunicación es evidenciar y reflexionar sobre el uso y ocupación del espaciopúblico de la ciudad, como lugar de reivindicación dela pandemia SIDA, y como territorio de denuncia deuna crisis originada por la construcción social de laenfermedad. Una producción generada a través de laCultura Visual a lo largo de sus tres décadas de historia.Unas representaciones, nada ingenuas, que no abarcanni contienen las diversas causas, sectores y realidadesde la enfermedad. En las cuales, no se hacen partícipea la ciudadanía, generando un imaginario perverso yequívoco. Y sin embargo promueven unos estereotiposde portador/a de VIH y de enfermo/a de SIDA queconllevan a la exclusión y al rechazo de los grupos asociados a este imaginario y a un fracaso en las campañasde prevención, al no producirse una identificación conlas imágenes propuestas.Desde este contexto social, político y cultural, proponemos un análisis de las diversas propuestas de acción y ocupación del espacio urbano como estrategiade denuncia. Unas propuestas artísticas que pretendencuestionar estas representaciones, y sus consecuencias, y generar otras posturas que incidan en una representación plural que desprenda otros imaginarios.Para ello, desarrollaremos un análisis en profundidadde las acciones más incisivas contrastándolas a los imaginarios propuestos por la Cultura Visual.Esta investigación se desarrolla dentro de la línea detrabajo: “Arte de acción: Cuerpo, enfermedad y ciudad”, que desde parte del Grupo de investigaciónHUM.425 de la Universidad de Granada, venimos desarrollando.

    The principal reason of this communication is to demonstrate and to think about the use and occupation ofthe public space of the city, as place of recovery of theAIDS pandemic, and as territory of denunciation of acrisis originated by the social construction of the disease. A production generated across the Visual Culturealong three AIDS decades of story.A lot of representations, not ingenuous and not casual,that they neither include do not even contain the diverse reasons, sectors and realities of the disease. Inwhich, they do not become a participant to the citizenship, generating a perversely and equivocal imaginary. And nevertheless they promote a few stereotypes about people living with HIV and of sick peoplewith AIDS, that this suppose the exclusion and to therejection of the groups associated with imaginary thisone and with a failure in the campaigns of prevention,so there is not identification with the proposed imageson the campaigns.In this social, political and cultural context, we propose an analysis of the diverse offers of actions and occupation for the urban space as strategy of protest. Anartistic offers that try to restate these representations,and his consequences, and generate other positions orattitudes that affect in a plural representation that detaches other imaginary.For it, we will develop an analysis in depth of the mostincisive actions them contrasting to the imaginaryones proposed by the Visual Culture.This research develops in the line of work: “ Action art:Body, disease and city “, that from part of the group ofresearch HUM.425 of the University of Granada.
