    La ciencia es una actividad eminentemente creativa yciudadana, pero este hecho queda oculto por las presentes estructuras académicas, investigadoras, ciudadanas e incluso culturales y museísticas. Se sitúaen espacios como son las universidades y centros deinvestigación, los centros de enseñanza y museos quepresentan una fuerte estructura autónoma a pesar deestar integrados en la ciudad. Este artículo pretenderealizar una reflexión acerca del papel del ciudadanodentro de estos espacios y dentro de la transformaciónque está sufriendo la ciencia, proponiendo una seriede acciones encaminadas a fomentar la participaciónen estos espacios permitiendo aumentar la cohesión yla integración de la comunidad científica en el espaciociudadano y donde las acciones revierten sobre ambascomunidades.

    The fact that science is an eminently creative and civicactivity is often obscured by the prevailing academic, research, civic and even cultural and musicological structures. Science spaces are, more often than not, confinedto universities and research centers, schools and museums. These are robustly independent institutions, in spiteof their physical integration into the city. This article seeksto reflect on the role of citizens in those spaces for scienceand in the transformation undertaken by the sciences andthe urban settings. It aims also to present a series of proposals to encourage citizen participation in those spaces,to allow for greater integration of the scientific community with the city space, the results of which could benefitgreatly both communities.
