Las indagaciones estéticas y filosóficas acerca de las diferencias que caben suscitarse entre las artes simultáneas y las artes sucesivas encuentran su eco primero en las distinciones entre los sentidos de la vista y del oído establecidas en el arranque de la Metafísica de Aristóteles. Esta conferencia ofrece una síntesis sobre la evolución de la cuestión en las edades moderna y contemporánea a través de notables pensadores españoles y alemanes, a la vez que analogías y terminologías propias que se adecúen al estreno de unas composiciones musicales dentro de la Catedral de Salamanca.

The aesthetic and philosophical inquiries about the differences that can be raised between simultaneous arts and successive arts find its first echo in the distinction between the senses of sight and hearing stated at the very beginning of Aristotle’s Metaphysics.
This conference offers a synthesis about the evolution of the issue in the modern and contemporary periods through outstanding Spanish and German thinkers, as well as some suitable analogies and terminologies for the premiere of own’s musical compositions within the Cathedral of Salamanca
