    Las imágenes que giran en torno al género suponen un poderoso medio de control social, lo que se puede apreciar claramente a través de un teatro feminista y revindicativo, que ha abierto la posibilidad para repensar la forma en que las definiciones de género configuran nuestra subjetividad, partiendo por poner en evidencia el carácter ideológico de estas representaciones. Este efecto se produce al revisitar los estereotipos que giran en torno a lo femenino, desarrollando una mirada crítica acerca de aquellas representaciones que han sido decisivas al momento de inducir el rol social y la disposición psicológica de las mujeres. Este artículo abordará una serie de obras teatrales chilenas que en los últimos años han intentado reconstruir nuestra noción de lo femenino, a través de una propuesta visual que activa el potencial crítico de algunos signos con que la cultura patriarcal ha sustentado las definiciones de género dominantes. Para ello, nos apoyaremos en la teoría de la performatividad del género, expuesta por Judith Butler, concibiendo al género como un hacer que lleva aparejado un parecer, lo que se expresa estratégicamente en la forma en que los vestuarios, los cuerpos y los gestos, se disponen en escena para resignificar nuestra imagen del género femenino.

    Images about the gender represent a powerful mean of social control, which can be to note through a feminist theater, that has opened the possibility to rethink the way in which gender definitions configure our subjetivity, starting by show the ideological nature of these representations. This effect is produced by revisiting the stereotypes that revolve around the gender, developing a critical view of those definitions, that have been decisive for inducing the social role and the psychological disposition of women. This article will approach a set of chileans plays, that in recent years have tried to reconstruct our notion of the feminine, through a visual proposal that activates the critical potential of some signs drawn from the patriarchal culture, and their gender definitions. To do this, we will support on the theory of gender performativity, exposed by Judith Butler, to think of gender as a do that involve a look, which is strategically expressed in the way that costumes, bodies and gestures, are staged to redefine our image of the feminine gender.
