    En este artículo trazamos la historia del alfaqueque norteafricano Abrahen Ezechiel  entre los años 1502 y 1515. Su asociación con el mercader castellano Bernardino Pardo y los pleitos en los que ambos se vieron envueltos por distintos motivos. En el trasfondo, la redención de cautivos cristianos en el Magreb como negocio y los abusos que a menudo se cometían. En este sentido, las fuentes disponibles muestran que Abrahen Ezechel y Bernardino Pardo eran bastante impopulares.

    In this paper we study the story of the North African redeemer Ibrahim Ezerchel between 1502 and 1515. His collaboration with the Castilian merchant Bernardino Pardo and the lawsuits in which both of them got involved for different reasons. On the background, the redemption of Christian captives in Maghrib as a business and the frequent betrayals that took place. In this sense, the sources available show that Ibrahim Ezerchel and Bernardino Pardo were quite unpopular.
