Resumen de ¿Descubrir la estructura lógica de una teoría implica matematizarla?

Adolfo García de la Sienra ha reconstruido varias teorías económicas descubriendo su estructura lógica. Con ese trabajo, ¿ha matematizado esas teorías, o sólo ha develado su estructura lógica? Para sugerir una posible respuesta, en este trabajo, examinaremos aquí la estructura lógica del primer tratado lógico: la silogística. Examinando lógicamente este tratado de Aristóteles, encontramos que en realidad los Primeros analíticos son ya, desde su origen, una teoría matemática. Este resultado no da una respuesta a la pregunta planteada, pero sugiere que en ocasiones las teorías no necesitan ser matematizadas, porque ya son matemáticas, al menos en parte.

Adolfo García de la Sienra has reconstructed several economic theories discovering their logical structure. With this work, has he mathematized those theories, or has he only revealed their logical structure? To suggest a possible answer, we will examine here the logical structure of the first logical treatise: the syllogistics. Examining logically this treatise of Aristotle’s, we find that in reality the First Analytics is already, from its origin, a mathematical theory. This result does not provide an answer to the question posed but suggest that sometimes theories do not need to be mathematized, because they are already mathematical, at least in part.
