    Resumen El Síndrome de Burnout ha sido asociado por numerosos estudios a las profesiones del area de la salud, y el caso de los trabajadores poblanos ha sido poco estudiado. En este sentido, debe señalarse que las propuestas teóricas sugieren que el síndrome se debe analizar en función de variables personales implicadas en su desarrollo, por ello, el objetivo de esta investigación fue describir las dimensiones del Síndrome de Burnout en el personal de enfermería y medicina de un Hospital de Alta Especialidad en Puebla, en el 2019. Para ello, se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo con diseño transversal y descriptivo, se analizó una muestra de 70 sujetos de las áreas de medicina y enfermería en turnos matutino, vespertino, nocturno y mixto; para su análisis se empleó estadística descriptiva y se determinó que el 28% obtuvo un alto nivel de Agotamiento Emocional, 32% de Despersonalización, 14.3% un bajo nivel de Realización Personal; y que, en general, 49% de la muestra tienen puntuaciones que indican altos niveles de Burnout; finalmente, se realizó una discusión en relación con los resultados de otras investigaciones que también se llevaron a cabo antes de la pandemia.

    Abstract The burnout Syndrome has been associated by numerous studies with the professions of the health area, in the case of workers from the City of Puebla has been little studied. In this sense, it should be noted that the theoretical proposals suggest that the syndrome should be analyzed based on the personal variables involved in its development, therefore, the objective of this research was to describe the dimensions of the Burnout Syndrome in the nursing and medicine staff of a High Specialty Hospital in Puebla, in 2019. For this, a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional and descriptive design was used, a sample of 70 subjects from the areas of medicine and nursing in morning, evening, nocturnal and mixed shifts was analyzed; For its analysis, descriptive statistics were used and a high level of Emotional Exhaustion was determined to 28%, Depersonalization to 32%, and a low level of Personal Fulfillment to 14.3%; and this, in general, 49% of the sample have scores that indicate high levels of burnout; finally, a discussion was held regarding the results of other investigations that, like this one, were carried out before the pandemic, to compare the results with some studies carried out during the pandemic phase.
