Resumen de Le discours généralisant dans le monologue théâtral : la marque d’un genre ?

Cette étude, s’appuyant sur un corpus de textes de Serge Valletti, s’inscrit dans une démarche qui vise à mettre au jour les spécificités linguistiques des pièces monologales contemporaines. Elle s’attache dans un premier temps à circonscrire cette question : le monologue théâtral contemporain peut-il être abordé comme un genre textuel ? Après avoir précisé ce qui caractérise le discours généralisant, elle montre l’importance de l’investissement subjectif qui le caractérise dans le discours quotidien qui est celui de la scénographie des Solos de Valletti. Elle décrit ensuite le mode d’insertion de ce discours généralisant et sa mise en relation avec le plan du récit, les liens logiques qui l’y rattachent et la fonction pragmatique qui lui est dévolue dans ces monologues de type narratif qui fournissent un éclairage sur son emploi dans le discours quotidien.

This study, based on a corpus of writings by Serge Valletti, is in line with an approach which aims at bringing to light the linguistic specificities of contemporary monologal plays. It is first devoted to defining the scope of the following question: can contemporary theatrical monologue be approached as a textual genre? After clarifying what characterises the generalising speech, the study shows the importance of the subjective investment that characterises it in the everyday speech that is specific of the scenic treatment of Valletti’s Solos. It then describes the mode of insertion of this generalising speech and the way it is related to the level of the narrative, the logical connectives which create the link and the pragmatic function which is devoted to it in these monologues of a narrative type which shed light on its use in the everyday speech.
