Este artículo quiere sacar a la luz algunos de los tesoros escondidos de nuestra historia eclesiástica y civil de la ciudad de Badajoz, con sus hombres y mujeres que ayudaron a levantar este hermoso templo de San Agustín. Para ello vamos a descubrir, acompañando a los testamentos y a los testamentarios, desde 1597 hasta 1806, como se realiza la construcción del templo exclaustrado de San Agustín, hoy parroquia de Santa María la Real, y por otro, quienes fueron los patronos de alguna de sus capillas y cuáles fueron sus titulares.

This article wants to bring to light some of the hidden treasures of our ecclesiastical and civil history of the city of Badajoz, with its men and women who helped build this beautiful temple of San Agustín. For this we are going to discover, accompanying the wills and testamentaries, from 1597 to 1806, how the construction of the exclaustrated temple of San Agustín, today the parish of Santa María la Real, is carried out, and on the other, who were the patrons of some of their chapels and what were their headlines.
