Durante los últimos siglos, la tecnología has sido el pilar fundamental sobre el que se ha sustentado nuestro desarrollo socio-económico y la que nos ha permitido alcanzar altas cotas de prosperidad y bienestar en la mayoría de las regiones del mundo. Sin embargo, este mismo desarrollo tecnológico nos ha situado en un momento crítico de nuestra historia, con grandes retos, tanto sociales como ambientales, que debemos hacer frente urgentemente de forma ineludible. En este contexto, Naciones Unidas ha identificado la digitalización y la innovación como piezas claves sobre las que construir las soluciones que nos permitan contribuir a alcanzar los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODSs), pero para ello, las soluciones que diseñemos, los nuevos servicios e infraestructuras que despleguemos deberán integrar nuestros valores y colocar al ser humano el centro de su propósito

Over the last few centuries, technology has been the fundamental pillar on which our socio-economic development has been based and which has allowed us to reach high levels of prosperity and well-being in most regions of the world. However, this technological development has placed us at a critical moment in our history, with great challenges, both social and environmental, that we must urgently face. In this context, The United Nations identified digitalization and innovation as key elements on which to build up the solutions that will enable us to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). But to do so, these solutions, the new services and infrastructures that we deploy must integrate our values and place the human being at the center of their purpose
