    Hambre cero es la denominación del objetivo número dos de los “Objetivos del Desarrollo Sostenible” (ODS por sus siglas en inglés). De acuerdo con estimaciones las Naciones Unidas (UN por sus siglas en inglés) señalan que a escala mundial actualmente hay aproximadamente 690 millones de personas que padecen hambre; el Programa Mundial de Alimentos de dicha organización indica que 135 millones sufren de hambre severa, y que actualmente existen emergencias humanitarias en El Sahel, República Democrática del Congo, Nigeria, Siria, Sudán y Yemen.

    Zero hunger is the name of the objective number two of the “Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs). The United Nations (UN) estimates that currently, at a global scale, there are around 690 million suffering from hunger; the World Food Programme of this organization points out that 135 million people suffer from severe malnutrition, and that nowadays, there are humanitarian emergencies in the Sahel, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria, Syria, Sudan and Yemen.
