Resumen de Las ciencias sociales en la educación parvularia

Esta nota trata de la importancia de enseñar ciencias sociales en educación parvularia y entrega directrices de los contenidos que deben ser abordados en este nivel. A la pregunta “¿qué debo hacer como educadora de párvulos?”, la autora responde, entre otras cosas: distinguir nociones fundamentales de las principales ciencias sociales: historia, antropología, sociología; diferenciar los principales acontecimientos de la historia universal y de Chile; familiarizarse con los principales pueblos originarios prehispánicos, de América y de nuestro territorio; “analizar el entorno cultural y social a partir de ejes de análisis comunes a las distintas ciencias sociales” (Mineduc, 2012), como derechos humanos y civilidad.

This note deals with the importance of teaching social sciences in pre-school education and provides guidelines for the contents that should be addressed at this level. To the question "what should I do as a kindergarten educator", the author answers, among other things: to distinguish fundamental notions from the main social sciences: history, anthropology, sociology; to differentiate the main events of universal history and of Chile; to become familiar with the main pre-Hispanic native peoples, of America and of our territory; “to analyze on the social and cultural environment from the axes of analysis common to the different social sciences” (Mineduc, 2012), such as human rights and civility.
