    El objetivo de este artículo es reflexionar sobre las causas que precipitaron la creación de una estructura organizativa propia del PSA en Cataluña, cuya actividad política en este territorio fue especialmente notable durante la transición democrática, así como analizar la estrategia que desplegó hasta las elecciones generales de 1977. A tal fin, nos ocuparemos tanto de la situación en la que la densa población inmigrante andaluza en ese territorio se encontraba, como de la acción política que los militantes del PSA en Cataluña mantuvieron desde finales de 1976 hasta mediados de 1977.

    The aim of this paper is to think about the causes that precipitated the birth in Catalonia of the PSA, whose political activity in this territory was especially remarkable during the democratic transition, and also to analyze the strategy developed until the general elections in 1977. For this goal, we will both deal with the situation in which the dense Andalusian immigrant population in that territory found itself, and with the political action that the PSA militants in Catalonia stood from the end of 1976 to mid-1977.
