    TANTO LA REVOLUCIÓN VERDE DE LOS AÑOS CINCUENTAS, COMO LA NUEVA REVOLUCIÓN VERDE DE LOS AÑOS NOVENTAS QUE UNE LA BIOTECNOLOGÍA CON LA INGENIERÍA GENÉTICA, FUERON LANZADAS CON LA IDEOLOGIZADA MISIÓN DE ACABAR CON EL HAMBRE EN EL MUNDO. SI MIRAMOS LAS CONSECUENCIAS Y LOGROS DE LA PRIMERA REVOLUCIÓN VERDE AL DÍA DE HOY, PODREMOS TENER UNA IDEA CLARA DE ALGUNOS IMPACTOS QUE LA NUEVA REVOLUCIÓN PODRÍA TENER EN NUESTRA SOCIEDAD Y EN NUESTRO AMBIENTE.

    Both the green revolution launched in the 1950´s and the new green revolution in the 1990´s, which combines biotechnology with genetic enenieering, were inspired by the ideologized mission of eliminating hunger in the world. If we examine the consequences and the achievements of the frist green revolution to date, we can get a good idea of some effects the new revolution may produce in our society and in out environment.
