El encuentro entre la demanda y la oferta se realiza en el mercado turístico y cuando se hacen coincidir demandantes y oferentes se logra un equilibrio o balance del mercado. La presente investigación se refiere a un estudio analítico que aplica el método científico deductivo y la valoración crítica de los documentos consultados, elaborado a partir de artículos científicos publicados en revistas indexadas y en otras fuentes primarias y secundarias. Se desarrolla un procedimiento para medir la demanda y la oferta en un destino turístico, que permita establecer un balance o equilibrio, con la finalidad de favorecer el crecimiento del sector, posterior al significativo declive creado por la pandemia de la Covid-19. Las conclusiones destacan la importancia del procedimiento para medir las tendencias de ambos indicadores y trazar estrategias adecuadas y mecanismos de control para el análisis del balance demanda oferta basado en criterios científicos, por los actores, gestores y grupos de interés en los territorios, lo que posibilita en un corto o mediano plazo incrementar la actividad turística y caminar hacia el logro del éxito del sector del turismo mundial.

The meeting between demand and supply takes place in the tourism market and whenapplicants and suppliers meet, an equilibrium or balance of the market is archived. The present investigation refers to an analytical study that applies the deductive scientific method and the critical evaluation of the consulted documents, elaborated from scientific articles published in indexed journal and in other primary and secondary sources. A procedure is developed simultaneously measure demand and supply in a tourism destination, which allows establishing a balance or equilibrium, in order to favor the growth of the sector, after the significant decline created by the Covid 19 pandemic. The conclusions highlight the importance of the procedure to measure the trends of both indicators and the project themselves in order to draw adequate strategies and control mechanisms for the analysis of the demand supply balance based on scientific criteria, by the actors, managers and interest groups in the territories, which makes it possible in the short or medium term to increase tourism activity and walk towards the achievement of success in the world tourism sector.
