    This article starts with the analysis of two different photo collections considered as documentary sets linked by thematic connections. The article doesn’t intend to be the summation or the segmentation of the different photos by the agency which produced them but a dissertation about the city, where each photo dialogues with others produced on the same theme. The axis of this dialogue among images is the hygienic discourse seeks to contribute to one of the many ways of regarding the city.

    Le point de départ de ce travail est l’analyse de deux collections de photographies considérées comme des ensembles documentaires où s’entrecroise une série de thématiques. La recherche se veut um discours sur la ville, où chaque image dialogue avec d’autres images, autour du thème du «sanitariste ». L’article analyse la production de deux photographes à São Paulo et à Lisbonne.

    Este artigo parte da análise de duas colecções de fotografias consideradas como conjuntos documentais que estão interseccionadas interseccionadas por temáticas que se interpenetram. Analisa a produção fotográfica de dois fotógrafos em duas cidades: São Paulo e Lisboa e possui como eixo de análise o discurso sanitário.
