    La catedral de Cádiz fue consagrada en noviembre de 1838. Este acontecimiento fue el motivo de la creación de unas pinturas historicistas que se encuentran en el interior de la misma. Con nuestra investigación, aportamos datos de gran interés y relevancia que ayudan a desvelar quiénes fueron sus autores. Se incrementa, de este modo, el patrimonio sobre la catedral de Cádiz. Una ciudad que cuenta con un monumento importantísimo que se nutre de esculturas y, también, pinturas de importante valor. Con todo, estamos ante una investigación minuciosa que pretende aportar algunos datos sobre el interés pictórico en la catedral de Cádiz.

    Cadiz Cathedral was consecrated in November 1838. This event was the reason for the creation of the historicist paintings that can be found inside the cathedral. Our research has provided us with very interesting and relevant data that help to reveal who the authors of these paintings were. In this way, the heritage of the cathedral of Cádiz is increased. A city that has a very important monument that is nourished by sculptures and also paintings of great value. All in all, this is a meticulous investigation that aims to provide some information on the pictorial interest in the cathedral of Cádiz.
