El concepto de resignificación como aporte a la teoría de la adaptación teatral

    La adaptación de clásicos locales o universales es una de las formas más frecuentes de puesta en escena de cualquier campo teatral, y convive con las escenificaciones convencionales de esos autores y textos. Efectuada de maneras muy diversas, siempre implica transformaciones cuantitativas y cualitativas de una obra considerada original, cuya autoridad se cita. La teatrología ha utilizado el aporte del postestructuralismo, por ejemplo, la noción de intertextualidad, para analizar el fenómeno de la adaptación, intentando arribar a subcategorizaciones que permitan abordar el objeto teatro de manera afinada. Luego de repasar algunos aportes clásicos sobre el tema, proponemos definir la resignificación como una adaptación libre internacional, “performance oriented” y caracterizada por una fuerte voluntad recontextualizadora.     The adaptation of local or universal classics is one of the most common forms of staging in any theatrical field, and coexists with the conventional stagings of these authors and texts. Made in many different ways, the adaptation always involves quantitative and qualitative transformations of an original considered work, whose authority is cited. The theatrology has used the contribution of post-structuralism, for example the notion of intertextuality, to analyze the phenomenon of adaptation, trying to arrive at subcategorizations which approach the object “theater” in a more accurate way. After reviewing some classic contributions on the subject, we propose to define the resignification as a free international adaptation, “performance oriented” and characterized by a strong tendency of recontextualiza-tion. The examples we propose consists in different cases belonging to contemporary Argentine theater
