Análisis bibliométrico de la producción científica en gestión de destinos turísticos en SCOPUS

    El propósito del presente estudio consiste en realizar un análisis bibliométrico de 30 años de investigaciones académicas publicadas entre 1991 y el 2021 en revistas indexadas en la base de datos Scopus. A partir de la metodología PRISMA se seleccionaron 1531 documentos relacionados con la gestión de los destinos turísticos para su análisis. El estudio y procesamiento de la información se desarrolló empleando los softwares Endnote X7, Bibexcel, Excel 2013, VOSviewer y Pajek. La producción científica fue clasificada y analizada a partir de diversos indicadores, entre los que se encuentran la variación cronológica de las publicaciones, la productividad por autores, y el análisis de las principales palabras claves y líneas de investigación. Se pudo constatar un creciente interés entre los académicos por el estudio de la gestión de los destinos turísticos, siendo hasta el momento del estudio el año 2020 el de mayor productividad y la revista Tourism Management, la que mayores documentos ha publicado en la temática en el periodo estudiado. Resaltan en el estudio de las líneas de investigación 13 clúster principales, cuyos resultados destacan la importancia del estudio de la gestión de los destinos turísticos dentro de la comunidad científica.PALABRAS CLAVE: estudio bibliométrico, destinos turísticos, gestión de destinos turísticos, gestión, turismo

    Bibliometric analysis of scientific production in tourism destination management in SCOPUSABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to perform a bibliometric analysis of 30 years of academic research published between 1991 and 2001 in journals indexed in the Scopus database. Base on the PRISMA methodology, 1531 documents related to tourism destination management were selected for analysis. The study and processing of the information was carried out using Endnote X7, Bibexcel, Excel 2013, VOSviewer and Pajek software. The scientific production was classified and analyzed on the basis of various indicators, including the chronological variation of publications, productivity by authors, and analysis of the main keywords and lines of research. A growing interest among academics in the study of tourism destination management was observed, with the year 2020 being the year of greatest productivity and Tourism management being the journal that has published the most papers on the subject in the period studied. In the study of the lines of research 13 main clusters stand out, the results of which highlight the importance of the study of tourism destination management within the scientific community.KEYWORDS: bibliometric study, tourism destination, tourism destination management, management, tourism.
