  Se registra por primera vez para la Isla de la Juventud, Cuba, a la garrapata partenogenética Amblyomma rotundatum Koch, 1844 (Ixodidae). Este es, además, el segundo registro de esta especie para Cuba, en tanto Peltophryne peltocephala Tschudi, 1838 (Bufonidae) y Tropidophis melanurus (Schlegel, 1837) representan en este país antillano su segundo y tercer hospederos, respectivamente

  The parthenogenetic tick Amblyomma rotundatum Koch, 1844 (Ixodidae) is recorded for the first time from Isla de la Juventud, Cuba. Also, this is the second record of this species for Cuba, whereas the giant frog Peltophryne peltocephala Tschudi, 1838 (Bufonidae) and the Giant Trope, Tropidophis melanurus (Schlegel, 1837) represent new hosts for it in this West Indian country
