L'extens estudi que en 1841, Josep M. Quadrado dedicà a Ausiàs March assenyalà l'inici de la recuperació contemporànea del poeta medieval. En aquest context de recobrament i mitificació, l'estudi recupera i analitza els vuit poemes d'homenatge al cantor de "Veles e vents" que, entre 1858 i 1874, redactaren mitja dotzena d'escriptors catalanoparlants: tres balears- Tomàs Aguiló, Jeroni Rosselló i Ramón Picó i Campamar-, dos valencians -Rafael Ferrer i Bigné i Teodor Llorente- i un principatí- Víctor Balaguer.

The lenghty study that, in 1841, Josep M. Quadrado dedicated to Ausiàs March indicated the beginning of the contemporary recovery of the mediveal. In this context of recovery and mythification, the study recovers and analyzes eight poems of homage to the singer of "Veles e vents" which, between 1858 and 1874, were written by half a dozen of Catalan speaking writers: three Balearic ones- Tomàs Aguiló, Jeroni Rosselló i Ramón Picó i Campamar-, two Valencians- -Rafael Ferrer i Bigné i Teodor Llorente- and one of the Principality of Catalonia- Víctor Balaguer.
