El movimiento estudiantil en Chile (2011-2012): Una lucha contra la discriminación

    Basándose en entrevistas llevadas a cabo en colegios tomados de Santiago, en septiembre del 2011 y 2012, este trabajo se propone analizar el gran movimiento estudiantil que se da en Chile a partir de las categorías que emplean los jóvenes entrevistados para pensar este movimiento. Pérdida del “miedo”, lucha por la igualdad entre seres humanos que rebasa reivindicaciones meramente estudiantiles, importancia del concepto de "persona" dejando de lado el de “ciudadano”: esos son los temas tratados en el artículo, planteándose en trasfondo la posible emergencia de nuevos sujetos colectivos a 40 años del golpe de Estado que derrocó el Gobierno de la Unidad Popular.

    This paper is based on the analysis of interviews conducted among senior high schools students in Santiago, Chile (September 2011 and 2012). Drawing from the categories used by the young interviewees themselves to account for their struggle, this article aims at analyzing the major student movement taking place in Chile at the moment. It focuses on the following themes: “loss of fear”, a fight for equality between human beings that goes beyond mere students claims, the significance of the notion of “person” eliding that of “citizen”. The question of the possible emergence of new collectives subjects, forty years after the fall of the Popular Unity goverment, is thus raised.
