    Este artículo intenta despejar dudas sobre la ubicación de los Reales Talleres de Ebanistería en el siglo XVIII, los mejores y más productivos de la corona de España. La localización de estos talleres, de los que ha desaparecido cualquier vestigio físico y sobre los que las referencias escritas son cuando menos inestables, se revela como tarea complicada, pero no por ello imposible de descifrar. La evidencia de su existencia obliga a su investigación para indicar, cuando se pueda, y sugerir, en lo que reste, dónde trabajaban los artistas de cuyas obras ahora nos maravillamos, de forma que su esfuerzo no se consuma en la desidia del tiempo. Este estudio ha llevado a una mejor comprensión del último añadido al Palacio Real de Madrid conocida como El Aumento.

    This article attempts to clear up doubts about the location of the Royal Cabinetmaking Workshops in the 18th century, the best and the most productive in the Spanish crown. The location of these workshops, of which any physical vestige has disappeared and on which the written references are at least unstable, reveals itself to be a complicated task, but not for that reason impossible to decipher. The evidence of its existence forces its investigation to indicate, when possible, and suggest, in what remains, where the artists whose works we now marvel at worked, so that their effort is not consumed in the laziness of time. This study has led to a better understanding of the latest addition to the Royal Palace of Madrid known as El Aumento.
