Comunidades educativas visionarias: reflexiones sobre el uso social de las drogas

    El objetivo del presente artículo de investigación consistió en develar las percepciones, creencias y prácticas que la Comunidad Educativa del Colegio Mariscal Sucre (Manizales, Colombia) tiene sobre el uso social de las drogas. La metodología aplicada fue la Investigación Acción Participativa (IAP), con enfoque mixto (Sampieri, 1998), utilizando algunas técnicas como la cartografía corporal y el grupo focal. La orientación teórica es el Construccionismo Social (Gergen y Gergen, 2009). Conclusiones: 1) Las creencias develadas por parte de los padres de familia hicieron referencia a la concepción del uso de drogas como problemática social que empieza a ser aprehendida en los planteles educativos. 2) La postura prohibicionista y sancionatoria del fenómeno del uso de drogas es compartida por los docentes del plantel educativo, quienes se ubican en ese mundo adulto y quienes perciben el plantel educativo como un lugar que se ha convertido en foco de expendio. 3) las percepciones adolescentes del fenómeno de uso de drogas se relacionan a ese mundo juvenil caracterizado por el ímpetu por vivenciar en primera persona lo que acaece, para el caso de este proceso lo relacionado al uso de drogas, los sentidos y significados otorgados al mismo, los cuales se refieren a un asunto de estilo de vida.

    The objective of this research article was to reveal the perceptions, beliefs and practices that the Educational Community of the Mariscal Sucre College (Manizales, Colombia) has about the social use of drugs. The applied methodology was Participatory Action Research (PAR), with a mixed approach (Sampieri, 1998), using some techniques such as body mapping and the focus group. The theoretical orientation is Social Constructionism (Gergen and Gergen, 2009). Conclusions: 1) The beliefs revealed by the parents made reference to the conception of drug use as a social problem that began to be apprehended in educational establishments. 2) The prohibitionist and sanctioning stance of the phenomenon of drug use is shared by the teachers of the educational establishment, who are located in that adult world and who perceive the educational establishment as a place that has become a focus of outlets. 3) adolescent perceptions of the phenomenon of drug use are related to that youthful world characterized by the impetus to experience in the first person what happens, in the case of this process what is related to drug use, the meanings and meanings given to it, which refer to a lifestyle issue.
