The students wereasked to write the meanings of those idioms and use eachone in a sentence to determine whether they had alreadylearned those idioms. The orientation idioms in the B2level course books were taught through activities basedon CMT. At the end of the study, the students were askedto write the meanings of the idioms and use each one in asentence once again. Pre‐and poststudy mean scoresof the students' performances were compared.
