    The present «Note» argues that the treatment given in Marguin- Hamon’s new book to a passage in the proem of Henry of Avranches’ important Bordo-Siler contains two mistranslations. When these texts are understood correctly, they can be shown to be echoes of Ovid and Horace respectively. These classical intertexts are also overlooked by the commentary of A. G. Rigg.

    La presente «Nota» sostiene che la trattazione dedicata nel nuovo libro di Elsa Marguin-Hamon ad un passo nel proemio dell’importante Bordo-Siler di Enrico di Avranches contiene due errori di traduzione. Quando questi testi vengono correttamente intesi, si può dimostrare che essi sono riecheggiamenti rispettivamente di Ovidio ed Orazio. Questi rapporti intertestuali sono trascurati anche dal commento di A. G. Rigg.
