Über den Titel und den Text der sogenannten Epistula Annae ad Senecam

    In the first part of this paper I try to show that the trasmitted title of the text preserved in the ms. 17 of the Dombibliothek of Cologne (Epistula Annae ad Senecam) should not be changed into Epistula Annaei Senecae, because it is possible that Seneca’s anti-judaic polemic induced someone (probably a Jew) to make him the addressee of an anti-pagan work. In the second part I try to establisch the right text of some passages of the same work.

    Nella prima parte del presente lavoro cerco di dimostrare che il titolo tràdito dell’opuscolo Epistula Annae ad Senecam (Colonia, Dombibliothek, ms. 17) non deve essere cambiato: può darsi che esso sia stato dato da un ebreo, il quale conosceva l’atteggiamento anti-giudaico di Seneca e voleva quindi farne il destinatario di un’opera antipagana. Nella seconda parte del lavoro cerco di emendare alcuni passi corrotti dello stesso testo.

    Im ersten Teil des vorliegenden Beitrages versuche ich zu beweisen, daß der überlieferte Titel der sogenannten Epistula Annae ad Senecam (Köln, Dombibliothek, Handschrift 17) nicht anzutasten ist, weil es möglich ist, daß die bekannte antijüdische Einstellung des Seneca jemanden (wahrscheinlich einen Juden) veranliess, ihn den Adressaten eines antiheidnischen Werkes zu machen. Im zweiten Teil des Beitrages befasse ich mich mit der Textgestaltung einiger Stellen.
