    A raíz de la ocupación francesa, el movimiento de las juntas provinciales irrumpió de lleno también en las islas Canarias, provocando una completa deformación de la jerarquía del poder hasta entonces configurada. Entre 1808 y 1814 se produjeron una serie de acontecimientos que presagian la fuerte pugna hegemónica que terminará por transformarse en un conflicto interinsular durante el siglo XIX. En este periodo da inicio el enfrentamiento entre diversos órganos e instituciones de gobierno particulares de la región y surgen muchos argumentos clave para entender este conflicto. El rechazo, recelo y freno mutuo entre distintas instituciones y esferas de poder es lo que este trabajo pretende dilucidar, entendido como un proceso esencial para la inmersión de Canarias en la contemporaneidad. Mantendremos una atención especial a la posición mantenida por la Real Audiencia de Canarias durante todo este período./Since the French occupation, the movement made out of the Juntas Provinciales burst into the Canary Islands. It provoked a whole deformation of the power hierarchy until then configured in the Archipelago. Between 1808 and 1814 a series of events was produced, those forebode a strong hegemonic struggle that will transform into an inter-islands conflict for the 19th century. Is in this period when all the organs and institutions fought and when all the key arguments emerge to understand the conflict. The mutual rejection, distrustfulness and curb between the different power spheres is what this paper pretends to elucidate, understanding it as an essential process to the Canary Islands into the Contemporary times. We will award, in it, a special attention to the Real Audiencia kept position.
