    Esta investigación tiene como objetivo analizar las iconografías del con- quistador extremeño Hernán Cortés, con especial detalle las realizadas por el artista Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau. Por su rigor histórico, relevancia y la enorme repercusión en los nuevos canales de comunicación se han convertido en las imágenes más difundidas del personaje.

    Tras realizar un catálogo y análisis de los antecedentes icónicos, se repa- san las distintas representaciones del conquistador y se analiza en profundidad su obra más significativa: La Llegada.

    This research aims to analyze the iconographies of the Extremaduran conqueror Hernán Cortés made by the artist Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau. Due to their historical rigor, relevance and enormous repercussion, and new channels of communication they have become the most widespread iconographies of the character to date.

    After making a catalog and a brief analysis of the iconic antecedents, the different representations of the conqueror are reviewed, and the stylistic values of his most significant work are analyzed in detail: The Arrival
