Resumen de Sociedad Española de Enfermería Nefrológica: presente y futuro

En el reciente congreso celebrado en Granada, la Junta Directiva (Comisión Permanente) de la Sociedad Española de Enfermería Nefrológica (SEDEN) debería haber sido renovada tras el periodo estatutario de tres años, más un año más de prórroga, de la actual Junta Directiva. Evidentemente, esto ha ocurrido porque no se ha presentado ninguna otra candidatura en el plazo establecido en los estatutos vigentes. Ante esta situación, la Junta Directiva decidió aplazar un año más su mandato, con el fin de evitar el nombramiento de una Comisión Gestora Permanente de Vigilancia, de acuerdo con el punto 8.5 de los Estatutos de la SEDEN, lo que potencialmente podría llevar a la disolución de la Sociedad.Esta situación se ha repetido en los últimos mandatos. Aunque los socios de SEDEN perciben esta situación con tranquilidad, considerándola una circunstancia coyuntural, merece ser vista como una realidad preocupante que debe ser analizada en profundidad si queremos que nuestra Sociedad tenga futuro.Pocas sociedades científicas de enfermería en España como la SEDEN pueden estar orgullosas de su historia, de sus socios, de su infraestructura, de su experiencia y de sus publicaciones, entre otras cosas. Sin embargo, es difícil encontrar socios dispuestos a responsabilizarse de esta labor.

At the recent congress in Granada, the Executive Board (Standing Committee) of the Spanish Society of Nephrology Nursing (SEDEN) should have been renewed after the three-year statutory period, plus a further year's extension, of the current Board. Clearly, this has occurred because no other candidature has been presented within the deadline established in the current statutes. Faced with this situation, the Board decided to postpone for another year their mandate, in order to avoid the appointment of a Permanent Supervisory Management Committee in accordance with point 8.5 of the SEDEN Statutes, which could potentially lead to the dissolution of the Society.This situation has been repeated in recent mandates. Although SEDEN's members perceive this situation calmly, seeing it as a temporary circumstance, it deserves to be seen as a worrying reality that needs to be thoroughly analysed if we wish our Society to have a future.Few scientific nursing societies in Spain like SEDEN can be proud of their history, membership, infrastructure, expertise and publications, among other things. However, it is hard to find members willing to take responsibility for this work.
