Los crímenes cometidos por las dictaduras significaron por cierto el término de vidas dedicadas a la militancia y la lucha popular, pero también, para sus familiares, el inicio de un camino por conseguir verdad y justicia. No todos los familiares hicieron este recorrido, sin embargo, hubo quienes y especialmente las mujeres, asumieron esta tarea como una nueva forma de participación. En este trabajo trabajaremos con una hipótesis distinta de las habituales a partir de un caso en particular. Pensamos que las mujeres, que contaban con una experiencia militante propia, reconvirtieron esa experiencia partidaria, para incorporarse a la lucha de los organismos de derechos humanos -en muchos casos crearlos- y desplegar su experiencia en pos de esta causa para la que nadie estaba preparado y ni podía imaginar que ocuparía gran parte del resto de sus vidas. A partir de la desaparición del Doctor Enrique París -asesor del presidente Allende- desde el Palacio de La Moneda, reconstruiremos el camino de búsqueda de sus restos y el de la vía judicial, que culminó 45 años después con la sentencia condenatoria a los culpables de su detención y desaparición. El rol jugado por María Eugenia, quien fuera su esposa, y que transita entre la militancia partidaria y la de los organismos de derechos humanos, como una dualidad sin complejos, y con un mismo objetivo. The crimes committed by dictatorships certainly meant the end of lives dedicated to militancy and popular struggle, but also for their families, the beginning of a path to achieve truth and justice.
