    El profesor emérito Miguel Ángel Quesada Argüello (1913–2000) fue un reconocido pianista costarricense. El objetivo primordial de esta semblanza es adentrarse en su biografía. Es relevante acercar al lector a la vida de este pianista, desde un plano mucho más sensible y humano. Este conocimiento empieza desde sus inicios en el piano hasta su madurez como pedagogo comprometido con la formación musical. La metodología para la elaboración de este ensayo, se basa principalmente en la entrevista semi-estructurada y la revisión de bibliografía que incluye artículos de prensa, documentos de archivos familiares y de instituciones estatales. Fue muy significativo conocer las opiniones de familiares, estudiantes y personas allegadas a Quesada para conducir esta investigación.

    La importancia de esta historia de vida radica en reconocer la verdadera esencia del maestro como músico y como formador de músicos

    Professor Emeritus Miguel Angel Quesada Argüello (1913 - 2000) was a renowned Costa Rican pianist. The main objective of this review is to take a close look at his biography. It seems relevant to bring the reader to the life of this pianist, from a much more sensitive and human level. We will know the Master, from his beginnings in the piano to his maturity as a pedagogue committed to musical education. The methodology for the elaboration of this essay, is based mainly on the semi-structured interview, as well as the review of bibliography, press articles, documents of family archives and state institutions. It was very significant to know the opinions of relatives, students and people close to Quesada, to conduct this investigation. The importance of this life story lies in recognizing the true essence of the Master as a musician and as a mentor of musicians
