Resumen de La Estrategia de Seguridad Nacional de España 2021 y el terrorismo nuclear

El presente artículo tiene como propósito fundamental el de ofrecer una perspectiva de la incidencia del terrorismo nuclear en la Estrategia de Seguridad Nacional de España. Si bien son escasos los antecedentes existentes sobre este tipo de terrorismo en España, no puede negarse su relevancia en el contexto de los instrumentos con los que los Estados se han dotado en la actualidad para mantener una situación de seguridad. El terrorismo nuclear existe y los principales actores de la comunidad internacional lo contemplan como una amenaza seria y dedican grandes esfuerzos a evitar que esta amenaza pase de la potencia al acto. De este modo se pretende analizar la manera en la que esta amenaza ha sido tratada en la citada Estrategia a lo largo del tiempo hasta llegar a la última versión de 2021, y su actualización anual recogida en el último Informe Anual de Seguridad Nacional de 2020.

The main purpose of this article is to offer a perspective on the incidence of nuclear terrorism in Spain's National Security Strategy. Although the existing antecedents on this type of terrorism in Spain are scarce, its relevance in the context of the instruments that States have currently equipped to maintain a security situation cannot be denied. Nuclear terrorism exists and the main actors of the international community consider it a serious threat and dedicate great efforts to prevent this threat from passing from power to act. In this way, it is intended to analyze the way in which this threat has been treated in the aforementioned Strategy over time until reaching the latest version of 2021, and its annual update included in the last Annual National Security Report of 2020.
