• In 1993 the Centre of Investigation Elpidio Sanchez Frames and the Laboratory of Roads of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid started an investigation whose objective was to establish the technical viability of the incorporation of the rubber of tires of refuse in asphaltic mixtures for paving of highways.
